Drawing on influences from travels to Hong Kong, Milan and Munich these sculptural room dividers, sliding doors, custom tiles and murals are made from organic materials. They are made in respect of Native American hand carving techniques by using repetitive patterns that are formed in cement, applied carved wood, wood panels and canvas. Designer Richard Boprae draws his inspiration from the cycle of trees and the architectural beauty of falling leaves.

Boprae, now lives in Colorado where the pine beetles are devastating the pine forests.  Boprae has discovered a use in his designs for these now dead trees. His next set of caved panels will be made from this recycled wood.

With all the rain we had this summer, I couldn’t resist chosing this cloud light called Nuvola, from Studio Italia Design as my August top pick.

I like the playful and summery quality of this 1960’s orange slice resin top table.

I love the sculptural and functional quality of Ieva Laurina’s Nest Hammock.

Melissa chose the outdoor living collection called Tandem by the French designer Thomas Sauvage for her summertime entertaining top pick.  She also liked the Modular Table designed by Benjamin Ferriol for EGO.

And for accessories, she chose the fun fluorescent lighted flower pots.  Suitable for outdoors with drainage.

I love this Teckell foosball table from B.Lab Italia.  It comes in 5 styles, from the classic, the modern, to the low coffee table version.  It has clean lines and an elegant appearance with the clear glass, which is quite the opposite of how foosball is with the aggressiveness of the sport.

I love the simple aesthetic of this contemporary pedestal sink by Stone Forest.  Designed with the L-pedestal and topped with the Bronze-Zen Vessel sink, it would be a great accent in a small powder room of a mountain contemporary home.

Kyle took this picture at ICFF in New York for me.  Designed by Ferrucco Laviani for Kartell, “the shiny chrome like finish gives these lamps a twist of contemporaneousness and richness” they say.  I like them for the name, Cindy.

These molded clear acrylic barstools from PlexiCraft are well priced and sleek .

I really like the four vessel “Ocean” sink by Bandini.  It has a much softer and more appealing approach to community sinks, as opposed to the porcelain or stainless steel sinks lined up in a row or the large circular gathering.

These Eco-Leader Foliage tiles designed by Refin Ceramiche are not only visually appealing and unique, but they are green as well.  These porcelain tiles are made up of at least 40% recycled material and can be applied on interior or exterior walls as well as residential and commercial floors.  Each tile is 24” x 36” and is the perfect accent and green choice for any project

I love this Crinoline Chair by designer Patricia Urquila for B&B Italia.

My version of mountain modern with a hint of vintage.

I really like these Classy Chairs by B&N Iconic.  The images are printed on a clear material that can be slipped easily into the backs and changed out whenever you want a new design.  They are classic designs with a modern touch.
