One of the most unique exhibits I saw this year at ICFF wasMaruja Fuentes’ recycled plastic pieces, identically shaped and fitted together like puzzle pieces along any public wall to create what she calls “leaning-molds.”While the idea in and of itself of a comfortable support wall to lean on in public places must sound like a great to anyone that has ever been a veteran of subways, trains, or buses, the idea gets even better once you actually try the wall out for yourself. What I was surprised to find out, being the petite 5-foot-three-er that I am, no matter what your height or your personal leaning style, the leaning wall miraculously is a perfect fit for a sensational mid-errand rest.Kudos to Maruja!

The Bocci 14 Series light fixture is sure to draw the eye and set a focal point for any space.  The versatile product can be used as a single pendent, chandelier, or sconce. This contemporary fixture was featured at ICFF and a definite show stopper.

This chandelier is so over the top I love it.  There is a wig, baby shoe and a moose attached.

Each chandelier, created by jewelry designer Winnie Lui, is unique.  There is a limited edition of 50 White and 50 Black.

Adriana Hoyos, international designer turned creative furniture force, exhibited at ICFF ’08.  Her smart and comfy style is very contemporary, but the use of regional and unique materials and expert craftsmanship tie cultural sensibility with modern elegance.

I love the Arne bathtub by Rapsel recently displayed at the ICFF show in NY. The smooth resin finish and the fact it can be ordered with built-in speakers makes it my top pick of the month.
