Mansour Modern has created rugs, carpets, and tapestries for British royalty for decades, has finally opened to the US market is Los Angeles.  The bold and beautiful designs add vitality and elegance to any style of décor.  Good quality and good hand are practically guaranteed.

I love any design that reminds me of summer holidays.  I came across Tina Maristela Ocampo’s palm-size clutches in the June issue of Vogue. I love the shades of orange and purples found in her spiney oyster shell clutch. Makes me think of an island evening out.

I also picked the new Asteria line of tile from Ann Sacks found in the August issue of Source+Design. An outdoor shower lined with turquoise sounds perfectly refreshing to me. Ah…summer!

I’ve never been one who enjoys grocery shopping, it has always been a tedious task to me.  However, I like the look and feel of the Landmark Supermarket in Quezon City, Philippines. It’s light and airy with fun architectural and interior design details.  The use and choice of materials are nice.  The bright white tiles are crisp and clean, compared to the usual dated terrazzo flooring.  The color selections based on department also make the food appear more appetizing.  I think if more grocery stores were to look like this, it would make the task of grocery shopping more pleasurable to me.  It almost makes you feel like you’re shopping in a department store, rather than a grocery store.  What girl doesn’t love to go shopping for clothes!

I like these chairs designed by Patricia Uruiola, not only because they blend old technique and form with modern style, but the void spaces created by the weave make for and interesting look when the sun shines through.  I am more and more intrigued by the design and creativity of the exterior furniture’s and fabrics that are coming to the scene of design.
